Fri, 29th Sep. 2006, 20:52 Hmmm

All quiet on the Western Front. I've been SOOOOOO ill this week, srsly. Well, not death bed ill, but partially incapacitated ill. Damn you, microbes. Dinner party planned for October 21. Snakes on a Plane cake will be baked. Photos will ensue. Jack helped me in the library on Tuesday :D I feel honoured on so many levels. He also fed me drugged sweeties. Or maybe just drugs, who can say? I tell you what, I love this mood icon set, but they sure aren't lined up to the actual MOODS very well. Never mind, they're too cute for me to care.
Wed, 20th Sep. 2006, 19:22 Wow

I checked my jar, and the money has been breeding :D yayayayay I've been spending many an afternoon in the local library (yeesh, place of horrors), researching Charitable Trusts. For those of you lucky enough not to be charity cases, Charitable Trusts are small organisations who invest a large amount of money in somewhere high-interest and then give the interest to people in need. Most of them don't give to people like me. An incredibly high proportion only give money to Jews, so, y'know. If I suddenly become very religious, you'll know why. Although apparently, you can't convert, and I don't think they'd believe me if I said I did :B. I'll survive with the astheist charities, I guess. You can still buy weeks off me!

I have basically written my leaflet now. La di da de leaflet. ( Here's what's in it )I so lazy. OK, now here's something you can do to help me- buy a week. Donate me £10 or more on my Just Giving (or by post- see above), with some contact details attached, and you can buy your very own week of 2007/2008. You could buy your birthday week, or Easter week, or the leap year week, or just any old week- I don't really care. The wonderful thing about your week will come in the form of a postcard from me (all the way from China!), filled with love and adoration and all that jazz, and your own special certificate (probably made on Publisher) certifying your ownership. Go on, you know you want to give me money. Pleeease.

Know why I haven't updated? Because I haven't done anything this week, that's why. Apart from go back to school. I have raised £6 more, from money in a random money box that my mother gave me. This afternoon is letter writing and leaflet making time! Once the leaflet is done, I can post the information from it on here, which will hopefully constitute an informative post. If not... well, who knows what then? I was at an... interesting... party last night, and therefore shouldn't be up at 8.50 in the morning, but some moron (probably my parents) phoned my house early this morning, so I am. Not that I got to the phone in time, but still.

Hello, unsuspecting people! Hmm. Not much to report today. The ugliness of this account is currently driving me crazy, so that may be my next task. Spoke to people at work, may get sponsorship from Frosts- hot damn! Maybe they'll let me wear my uniform out there as advertising. Not that I can see much point in advertising a small British garden centre chain in western China, but you never know. I promise to write something substantial next time, about interesting things. Like China. Good God, I'm going to China. Wow. You can still donate any time you feel like it, btw...

I have registered with Justgiving.com right here . Money you raise from there will be sent to Project Trust and added to my total. Go wild! Please.
Sat, 2nd Sep. 2006, 12:42 Greetings.

Yesterday, I got a letter through the post about a gap year selection course I'd been on the week before. It told me I'd been accepted to go to China, with a possibility of Vietnam instead, for a year to teach English. My first thought cannot be put down in words, but involved major ecstasy and excitement. My second thought was "Jeesus Christ, what the fuck am I doing???" This journal is to chart the two years after this moment- one year of fundraising and planning, and another of being abroad. I hope it will be about the first thought rather than the second. The organisation I'm going with is Project Trust . I have a fundraising total of £4,190, of which I have raised £130. Hopefully I'll have something set up for you internet philanthropists to click on soon! Nothing else to say about this whole thing right now, but yes. Hello.
